Summer Twenty Ten.

June 21st : The first day of my Summer Holidays,3 months to do nothing or everything,I did a bit of both =]
I went to Dublin to see my favourite band play in Marlay Park. For the second time in a year I would queue for hours, give out to skippers and be Oh so very excited to see Green Day,this time supported by Paramore and also Joan Jett and The Blackhearts.
I was right up front,Joan Jett blew me away but unfortunately a majority of the crowd didn't even know who she was,Paramore left me bitterly disappointed, they were always one of my favourite bands but they just didn't do it for me,then..GREEN DAY!,they were amazing when I first saw them in the O2,this time they were even better, with a good mix of old stuff and new stuff,I really could have stayed there forever.

After that I really just went with the flow of things.
I traveled with my family to Clare for my cousins wedding and had a wonderful time,it was such a special day seeing everyone I don't get to see very often.
I have two new gorgeous baby cousins,Katie and Juliet.
I went to a vintage rally with my dad in the beautiful Inch,Co. Kerry.

I spent days in town with my friends, catching up on the latest gossip and having a laugh.
I went to the Rose Of Tralee festival which was heaps of fun,won by the London Rose,Clare Kambamettu.

Summer 2010 also had a few downs, but let's not get into that for now!
School resumes once again tomorrow and lets be honest,I'm kind of looking forward to it..but we'll see how long that lasts ;)

Always there.

I love memories, especially the pleasant ones, you know the kind that just, well, give you that warm fuzzy feeling inside? And I love how they're always there, they never go away.
I think what's so special about memories is that they come in all shapes and sizes. They could just randomly pop up in your head, you could see a friend and remember all the good days you've spent with them or maybe someone really close to your heart gave you something, that you will cherish forever.
It was December 2009 and it snowed for the first time in years,Ireland is well used to rain but snow? That was a different story! The whole country came to a halt. A day or two before Christmas,I wasn't expecting too much,I knew because I live in the country side it was too dangerous in such weather for my family to do loads of shopping for big luxurious gifts but on Christmas morning,we still ran down to open our presents and from my lovely mom,I got this really cute Me To You Bear. It has a little heart in it's tiny pocket which says "Someone Special",well I don't know about that, but it certainly came from someone extremely special. I know when I move out of home for the first time,it's coming with me because seeing it reminds me of my mom and all the great times I've had all thanks to her and I'm sure there are many more good times to be shared with such a wonderful person :)
